Pierre Weber (Alsace)
Pierre started to make wine in 2019 taking over his grandfather estate in Husseren-Les-Chateaux, same village as Bruno Schueller who is helping sometimes Pierre when needed. From about 1,000 bottles in 2019 to 10,000 in 2020 on 3 ha, Pierre has suddenly been on his own surrounded by friends to develop his full time winemaker’s life. Pierre had previously worked in Paris advising in sustainable development but with a father oenologist and a grandfather winemaker, the call back to Husseren became an evidence. Benefiting from Grand Cru Eichberg for Gewurztraminer, part of Pinot Noir and Riesling, 2020 wines are truly impressive of precision for a first real vintage.
